Understanding High-Risk Behaviours (Self-Harm / Suicidal Ideation), and Learning DBT Supportive Strategies
Te Whare Mahana is delighted to announce an amazing opportunity! We will welcome two esteemed DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) specialists from the USA.
Jolie Fritz, a dedicated psychologist, and Erik Ulland, a compassionate psychiatrist, bring with them a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in the field of mental health, specifically self-harm and suicidal ideation. During their time in New Zealand, our staff will engage in enriching training, and we are excited to extend a heartfelt invitation to our local community.

Join us for this learning workshop on the 24th of March 2025 (download invitation flyer)
This workshop is open to EVERYONE, including dedicated professionals working with adults and youth, as well as whanau and all individuals interested in learning effective strategies for addressing self-harm and suicidal ideation. We encourage you to share this invaluable opportunity with community members who could benefit from these crucial skills.
This past year has presented our community with significant challenges, marked by a troubling number of suicides and instances of high-risk behaviour. We aspire for this training to serve as a beacon of hope and healing, contributing positively to the mental well-being of our beloved Mohua.
